People upstate seem pretty happy (in some respects, I myself was much happier when I was living there). I have to wonder if the city isn't dragging the state down.
Haha- upstate is better than the city, no doubt. I would agree the city drags the whole state down. That said, other places are even better. It's cultural- nyorkers nd frankly,new englanders) pride themselves on lacking in kindness, friendliness, generosity and simple "joy". That's why they're so sophisticated.
