The photo's a little blurry, but based on the dressing around the rim of the bowl, I'd guess that goldfish was a table centerpiece from someone's prom--it IS prom season. If that's true, I'm not at all surprised it wound up on the street...any living creature with the misfortune to be a prom decoration is basically doomed to a horrible demise.
