MEANDERING

So that whole day is over.  My favorite Christmas and New Years ever were spent alone in a cottage in the Dominican Republic.  (And my best birthday ever was alone in a snowed-in cabin in Maryland.)  This time I did have an excellent dinner that was only six people in total, all lovely.  A good Christmas.

Writing some.  Still reading 1Q84.  Just bought The Devil All the Time since I've heard such great things about it, as well as Leaving the Atocha Station and some other things.

Some movies I'm excited to see next year:  Cogan's Trade, You're Next, Only God Forgives, The Place Beyond the Pines, Dark Knight Rises of course, Prometheus of course, Wettest County, Haywire, The Grey, Chronicle, The Impossible, Savages, Gangster Squad, Gravity, Django Unchained.
