UPDATE: Here's a pretty accurate photo recap of our Teen Wolf episode.

The episode tonight, Monday June 25, was written by me and Ned Vizzini.  It's called "Venomous."  I haven't seen the finished cut, I'll see it on TV just like everyone else.  We're writing for Last Resort now but had a great time on Teen Wolf and are psyched to see this.  Watch tonight at 10 on MTV.

Spent all yesterday in Malibu at Bloomsday wedding of good friends.  It was pretty gorgeous, and wedding cake tastes good.  I wore a suit for the first time in almost two years.  This is what I look like in a suit.

And there was a lot of food, and it was good.  I got home tired and watched some episodes of Friday Night Lights, which I'm catching up on because I've been hearing for years how great it is (it is) and now I'm working with three people who wrote on it.

I also re-read Jesus' Son and A Sport and a Pastime in the last month and wrote a short story.  I have a list of movies I need to watch, but haven't had time.  Basically I haven't been sleeping, and when I do sleep, I dream about submarines and islands.

My new job continues to be amazing, so much that when I leave work every day I continue to think about it and write down ideas for hours afterward.  Thus the dreams.

Today is Father's Day.  I called my dad and he was en route to see Prometheus, even though it's really more of a Mother's Day movie.

Several weeks into Last Resort now; best job ever.  Good times.  Also, you can follow the Last Resort writers room on twitter.

Got home from work today to find the 1,000 page Complete Stories of J. G. Ballard.  Cannot wait to read.

Meanwhile, first two episodes of Teen Wolf season 2 aired in the last two days, got good reviews and ratings, and were generally excellent. Reviews and recaps tend to include lines like, "So what did you think of the lunacy that is Teen Wolf?" and "So in a scene that was just straight-up bonkers, Mr. and Mrs. Argent teamed up to apparently torture the school principal into retiring? WHAT ON EARTH?"  [Note: The principal was played, beautifully, by our former writers room colleague and onetime Lost writer Christian Taylor.]  Tweets include the popular, "Why is there a lizard on Teen Wolf?" in addition to the "I luv itttttt!!!" stuff.

Here's a great recap with tons of images.
